Early Man is Mike Conte on guitar, vocals, and bass and Adam Bennati on drums. When touring the band expands to a four piece with a second guitarist and bassist. Conte and Bennati are originally from Columbus Ohio and are currently living in New York City.

The two have been playing together for only a little under three years but their friendship goes back to earlier days in Ohio. Mike had been writing and recording what would become Early Man songs years ago using a 4-track and a drum machine. When Adam moved to NYC from Ohio the project was kicked into three dimensions. The two released their first full length, 'Closing In', in October of 2005. The band has most recently shared the stage with Mastodon, The Melvins, Turbonegro, and 3 Inches of Blood.
